Los Tarantos

This flamenco tablao has presented many top stars over the years. It now caters mainly to the tourist trade, but avoids the fripperies of some coach-party venues.
When my friend show me this first time I was moved. It was amazing experience, as I love every form of dance. I invited my sisters when she visited me last time and I must admit that the level of performance went down, but it`s connected with the fact that the local is under new ownership, I presume.  But good thing is that the prices have gone down.

Park de la Ciudadella

This park is situated in the Barri Gotic, and you can find many huge, important museums of art and culture, and even a great lake where you can rent boats. This was originally a fortress made in the shape of a star, built for King Felipe V in 1715. But after an 18 month seige the fortress fell, and after a while it was a hated symbol of oppression for the locals. Under the Napoleonic regime it was used as a prison. General Prim destroyed the Citadel in 1878, and a statue was erected to him on the spot. Now this is a public garden and exhibition space. You can find palaces of typical Spanish architecture filled with art here. In 1888 the park was used for the Universal Exhibition and many of the beautiful buildings were constructed for that. The gardens and fountains were also designed in that time, partly by a very young Gaudí.

Casas...

Constructed in a cubical design with a Dutch gable, this building was created by Puig i Cadafalch in 1900 and was the first building on the manzana.
t stands in sharp contrast to its neighbor, the Gaudí-designed Casa Batlló. The architecture of the Casa Amatller, imposed on an older structure, is a vision of ceramic, wrought iron, and sculptures.  They were executed by Eusebi Arnau, an artist much in demand by the modernistas.

Glaciar

Most of the clientele heads outside to sit overlooking the bustling Plaça Reial, where nocturnal activity never stops and is bound to give you an eyeful.

This is a charming bar that's earned the reputation as an ideal meeting point. Both locals and foreigners congregate here after sundown, drawn by the lively atmosphere and the friendly service.

The bar doubles also hosts occasional art exhibits and discussion groups.

Danzatoria

Danzatoria club up near the mountain Tibidabo is in a beautifully renovated old mansion and attracts a trendy, elegant crowd. There have been mixed reviews, people either love it or hate it. It can get hot in the club there is an area outside to cool off. It also has good views. It`s better to take taxi to reach the club.

Picasso Museum

Barcelona's Picasso Museum celebrates both the great artist and his unique relationship with the city.

The museum also has space for nine separate halls for temporary exhibitions, meaning that visitors have the chance to view work produced across the course of Picasso's life.

A series of early works ranging from early masterpieces to scribbles done in school give a unique insight into the formation of Picasso's artistic sensibility. With the artist having lived in Barcelona between the ages of 14 and 23, the city was the setting for some of his key formative influences.

It`s amazing place worth visiting.
